[SOLD!] 1971 VOX Conqueror

This is a "Vox Sound Limited" amp, which is the successor to "Vox Sound Equipment Limited". Research indicates that a good proportion of the Vox Sound Limited amps are simply unsold stock that had been made at the West Street factory at Erith under VSEL. VSL simply took them over for sale. New serial plates were affixed with "Vox Sound Limited", but the control panels give "Vox Sound Equipment Limited".

The Vox Conquerors produced by VSEL with serial numbers 2000-2380 were issued in the "Vox Sound Equipment Limited" (VSEL) period (late 1968-1970) - effectively from serial number 2000-2397. All were made at the Vox Works, West Street, Erith, as earlier amps had been. Close to the end of the run - certainly by serial number 2462 - proper "Vox Sound Limited" panels come in. 

The head: An original 1970's with Serial #2462.  Grill cloth ALL ORIGINAL Vox Black Diamond fabric, ORIGINAL voltage selector in perfect working order, power lead replaced for European sockets.   Original Vox handle.  Unit tested and working on 220 and 110 volts.

Entire unit is in great cosmetic condition, all Knobs (all original), inputs (all original) and effects (tremolo, reverb) are functional and in perfect working order.  

The Cabinet: In excellent functional state; grill is original Vox Black Diamond fabric.  2 x 12" speakers; one standard professionally reconed at some point (make/model unknown) and one Fane Crescendo M.V.   They both sound really nice and produce an amazing classic 70's tone.

Normally these sell for around €1500 but I have to let this one go at a great price due to space restrictions at my home.
