                                                                     Strat hot bridge pickup

This pup is from the Prairie red range. Scatter wound with 7500 turns to give a warm fat tone, rich in harmonics, less brittle than stock but retaining edge with the punch of Alnico 8 pole pieces. Potted to reduce unwanted feedback and microphonic

Can be used in middle of neck position

Grey base Prairie Red top with choice of Black or White cover. White covers can be aged if required

 

Our pickups are entirely hand wound on bobbins with #42 AGW enamelled copper Formvar wire and vulcanised fibre flatwork.

Tension controlled by finger and thumb. These pickups are scatter wound to give a truly vintage tone with richer harmonic content.  This process does take time with slower winding but each pick up 100% handmade with great care attention and pride.  Completed with vintage pullback wire. Each pickup is numbered and dated to record moment of creation
