Ampeg are a manafacturer of amplifiers. They are most famous for producing bass amplifiers although the company also manafactures guitar amplifiers, bass guitars, electric guitars, double basses, as well as pickups. 

Ampeg - Their Story

Founded in New Jersey back in 1946, Ampeg's first product came in the form of a pickup for the upright bass. The product was called "Amplified Peg". This eventually shortened to Ampeg and assumed position as the company's principle name. Ampeg are now most well-known for their line of bass amplifiers. The company is based in Woodinville, Washington, United States of America.
